As if it weren’t enough that his last name sounds like a cash register (ka-ching), he also goes by “Superman”

Until recently, Li Ka-shing was the richest person in Hong Kong; his net worth is currently estimated at $27–29 billion, making him the 23rd richest person in the world. Nicknamed “Superman Li” for his unparalleled success in business, he is the ultimate rags-to-riches story for Hong Kong and perhaps Asia as a whole. At age 12, his family fled China for Hong Kong due to the Japanese invasion during WWII. By age 16, his father died of tuberculosis and he was forced to drop out of school and work in the plastics industry to provide for his family. He often worked 16 hours a day, 7 days a week and sent 90% of his money to his mother (source).
